The 49er skiff is a fast, dynamic Olympic class sailing dinghy. To get an idea of what 49ers are about, see the video link below from the 2009 World Championships (Lake Garda, Italy).
As the team builds a platform to contest the New Zealand Olympic spot for the 2012 and 2016 Olympic games, we are inviting sponsors and supporters to join us along the way.
Marketing Proposition
Our teams budget leading up to the 2011 Olympic Qualifier event in Perth is approximately NZ$40,000. Three quarters of which will be personally funded. However in an arena where most international teams yearly budgets exceed $100k, additional support is called upon. Nevertheless some exciting marketing opportunities exist.

The Budget
Maintaining the boat is budgeted to cost around NZ$7000 annually. To overcome this hurdle we are looking for sponsors to come on board.
